It was first published in 1806. <BR/><BR/>The cabbage with mincemeat thing sounds good actually. They didn't do the most outrageous stuff, though, who knows, stuffed dormouse might have been better than too dry snails with too much caraway seed and too little garlic. :-)<BR/><BR/>Ok, it could have been the fault of the cook.
