No books, few letters, little of anything to amuse, really. Some, including Wellington, hunted. But what to do when the weather wasn't fit? They did have dances/jigs with local girls, when available. Some of the accounts aren't all that printable!<br /><br />Jan, I think both sides probably understood the other side's boredom and having something new to read, even from the enemy, was better than rereading the same stuff over and over. But Wellington certainly didn't agree.
