Like others, I'm beginning to think about Humphrey Shufflebottom.

Now that would be a challenge, wouldn't it, to see whether any of us could write a tale in which the hero really was called Humphrey Shufflebottom? I did warm to him, in spite of his name and his background: he is hanged on page 1 which is a bit of an impediment to hero-dom...

Happy New Year to everyone.

JoannaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18955239.post-73872036172662743782009-01-05T10:38:00.000+00:002009-01-05T10:38:00.000+00:00It is very reassuring to know that views have chan...It is very reassuring to know that views have changed so little over the years!

PS - I have taken quite a fancy to Humphrey Shufflebottom!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18955239.post-54653103055961310822009-01-04T22:43:00.000+00:002009-01-04T22:43:00.000+00:00Excellent post, Louise! He just found this old, rui...Excellent post, Louise!

He just found this old, ruined castle lying around and appropriated it, did he?
